For more than a decade, Sandra D. Bricker lived in Los Angeles. While honing her chosen craft of screenwriting in every spare moment, she worked as a personal assistant and publicist to some of daytime television's hottest stars. When her mother became ill in Florida, she walked away from that segment of her life and moved across the country to take on a new role: Caregiver.

The Big 5-OH! was released by Abingdon Press in the Spring of 2010, and the novel was very well-received, garnering a couple of nibbles from Hollywood.

Always the Baker, Never the Bride was released by Abingdon Press in September 2010. With its phenomenal reviews, the novel spawned a series of three more books based on the popular cast of characters at The Tanglewood Inn, a wedding destination hotel in historic Roswell, Georgia. The series cemented Sandie's spot in publishing as a flagship author of Laugh-Out-Loud romantic comedy for the inspirational market.

My review of Always the Designer, Never the Bride:


Anytime I am in the mood for a light, relaxing book to read, I know that I can trust Sandra Bricker to deliver.  I have always enjoyed her books, especially the books in this series.  There is not a great deal of substance in this book and that is just fine.  Sometimes substance is highly overrated when I’m looking for a good book that allows me to just relax and escape.  That is what this book did for me, well, once my brain was able to sort out the characters.  It’s been a while since I read the last book in the series and even longer since I read the first book, so keeping everyone straight look some work.

Sandra knows how to write interesting and amusing characters who help keep the book light and entertaining.  This book in particular had some fun characters, each with their own unique personality and that kept this fun story moving very quickly.  This book, or any book in this series, is ideal for the reader who wants a light and fun read.  It makes for the ideal escape from hectic schedules and I was definitely in the mood for a book like this.
